What is the research about?
The HSE Quality and Safety Signals Programme aims to establish an online system that makes the best use of available data for patient safety surveillance and quality improvement. The new system is being developed and piloted initially in Maternity and Neonatal Services. This programme has received funding from the Government of Ireland’s Sláintecare Integration Innovation fund.
The HSE’s National Quality and Patient Safety Directorate (NQPSD) and the National Women and Infant’s Health Programme (NWIHP) are leading this work and have developed a research collaboration with researchers at UCD (UCD IRIS Centre, lead by Prof Eilish McAuliffe).
Our PPI plans
We are looking for one PPI Contributor to join the Change Management Workstream Group, alongside the Change Leads from NQPSD and NWIHP.

Time commitment:
The PPI Contributor is invited to attend a weekly online Change Management Workstream Meeting (1hr), with minimum attendance of one meeting per month expected.
Contact between meetings:
Minimal activity between meetings. As a Workstream Member, the PPI Contributor will be invited to attend an optional monthly “All Hands” meeting where all Workstreams provide their updates on the previous month.
