Health Research Charities Ireland (HRCI) PPI Shared Learning Group meeting

This is a closed meeting for HRCI member charities, timed to coincide with the National PPI Festival. The guest speaker at this meeting will be Anne-Sophie Kleczewski, Patient Involvement Manager at Cancer Research UK (CRUK), who will talk about reimbursing PPI contributors.

Our member charities (many of whom are patient organisations) are in a unique position to advance PPI in research through their activities, expertise and networks. To support them in this, we run a PPI Shared Learning Group, in which over 30 of our member organisations participate. It includes charities who are at various stages of the PPI journey, from those just beginning to formalise PPI to those who are deeply experienced in many aspects of PPI in health and social care research.

Through the Shared Learning Group we provide a safe space to share open, honest, and useful debate and learning about PPI. We develop PPI resources in response to needs, bring in expert speakers and manage an online hub, to facilitate the sharing of information and resources.
