Eleven universities delivering PPI support
Each university has an academic co-lead, a PPI co-lead who brings lived experience, and a programme manager. Contact them directly for support with a study, training, or to get involved.
Academic co-lead Prof. Veronica Lambert, PPI co-lead Arthur Templeman-Lilley, programme manager Dr Damian Haslett. Particular focus on children and young people.

Ten organisations connecting the Network outwards
Charities, funders, regulators and national research programmes that bring PPI into services, policy and practice across the island.
HRCI brings together over 40 national health research charities representing people affected by cancer, rare disease, mental health conditions, dementia, disability and a wide range of chronic illnesses.
HSE Research & Development provides governance, support and strategic direction for health and social care research across the public health service.
The Irish Platform for Patient Organisations, Science and Industry (IPPOSI) is a unique multi-stakeholder partnership that brings together patients.
Tusla Child and Family Agency is an established Network partner and a leading voice for child, youth and family research (CYFR) and policy.
The SPHeRE Programme is Ireland’s national research PhD training programme for population health, policy and health services research (PHPHSR) and is funded by the Health Research Board in Ireland.
The institute aims to provide evidence-based research to inform policies that support a healthy economy and promote social progress. The ESRI focuses on twelve key areas: Behavioural Science; Climate;
Research Ireland supports excellent research and innovation across all disciplines and career stages, from discovery-led research that advances knowledge and understanding to applied research with a focus on delivering economic and societal impact.
The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) is an independent statutory body established to promote safety and quality in the provision of health and social care services for the benefit of the health and welfare of the public.
The Royal Irish Academy is Ireland’s leading body of experts supporting and promoting the sciences and humanities. As an all-island independent forum of peer-elected experts the RIA recognises world-class researchers and champions Irish academic research.
ECRIN (European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network) is a European Research Infrastructure facilitating multinational clinical research through the provision of advice and services for the management of investigator or SME led clinical studies in Europe.
GOVERNANCE
Steering Group
The Steering Group provides leadership for PPI across the island, develops the strategic direction of the Network and oversees monitoring and governance of Network activities. Its eleven members are drawn from PPI, academic and research support roles across the partner universities.
