Using Forum Theatre for Patient, Public Involvement in Health Research - A very practical workshop
How might Forum Theatre be a useful means of exploring Patient, Public Involvement in Health Research? How can we use drama to explore what research means to people, to gain insights and different perspectives through the safety of fiction? What do we need to know before we begin?
This workshop will be facilitated by Derek Stewart in a highly interactive, safe, fun, stimulating and informative manner. The workshop will explore how we can use drama as a learning medium for public engagement and active involvement with health research through the use of various techniques called drama conventions including Forum Theatre.
Derek Stewart is known to many of us as a cancer patient advocating for the patient / service user voice to be heard in all aspects of health research yet less known, is that Derek originally studied and trained in drama in education.
