We invite people living with Parkinson’s to join us for a visit to the research labs at UCD School of Psychology. The aim of this event is to learn about research into dance and the brain in Parkinson’s, and how researchers and people with Parkinson’s can work together to make research more accessible and useful. The visit will include the following:
-Short presentation and Q&A about the research project and involvement of people with Parkinson’s.
-Demonstration of some of the research techniques used in the lab to study the brain and movement (e.g., transcranial magnetic stimulation; motion capture).
-Discussion with researchers about how people with Parkinson’s can be involved in the research process.
Refreshments will be provided.
Note: While this event is primarily aimed at people living with Parkinson’s, you are welcome to attend with a family member, friend, or caregiver.
Spaces are limited so register soon!
