Prof. Michelle Flood
ALL-ISLAND PPI IGNITE NETWORK LEAD
Michelle Flood is an Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences at RCSI and All-Island Lead for the PPI Ignite Network, where she provides strategic leadership across the Network and works with partner universities and organisations to advance patient and public involvement in health and social care research across the island of Ireland.
As a pharmacist and health services researcher, Michelle has extensive experience in research leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration and programme development. Her work spans PPI, health design and applied research, with a particular interest in bringing together patients, the public, researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers and other disciplines to ensure research and innovation responds to real-world health and healthcare challenges.
Simone Walsh
ALL-ISLAND PPI IGNITE NETWORK PROGRAMME MANAGER
Simone Walsh is the All-Island Programme Manager for the PPI Ignite Network, where she has responsibility for the coordinated delivery of the Network’s core infrastructure initiatives across the island of Ireland.
Simone’s career spans the breadth of health and social care research, including clinical trials of drugs and medical devices, study feasibility and activation, and research governance.
Ayushi Bhargava
OPERATIONS COORDINATOR AND RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Ayushi is a Research Assistant and Operations Coordinator with the All-Island PPI Ignite Network Central Office at RCSI, where she supports the coordination and delivery of Network activities, operations and communications across partner organisations.
She has a background in public health and health research, with experience across research, health promotion and patient and public involvement, and previously worked in the United States on national health research and public health projects.
