Get Involved with Cochrane and Help Shape Health Research

Introduction

Research Area:

global health/ systematic reviews

What is the research about?

Cochrane is a worldwide independent network of researchers, professionals, patients, carers, and people interested in health. Cochrane contributors work together to produce credible, accessible health information by gathering and analysing the best available evidence to help people make informed decisions about health and health care. These are called systematic reviews.

There are many opportunities available to get involved in systematic reviews through Cochrane’s platform. The PPI Ignite Network has welcomed us to use their PPI Opportunities Noticeboard to connect with you and share with you how you can start your journey with us through The Cochrane Patient and Public Network, a growing community of more than 2,500 people across 100 countries.

To get started, simply complete this short sign-up form. Once submitted, you’ll be prompted to log in or create a free Cochrane account. After joining, you’ll receive a welcome pack, which has information about Cochrane evidence, training and opportunities to get involved – including signing up for Cochrane Engage, our platform that lists opportunities to get involved based on your interests and skills.

Opportunities to get involved in Cochrane (hosted on Cochrane Engage) are open to anyone who are interested in contributing to global health research in diverse areas and producing high quality, trustworthy, health evidence. No prior experience in being a PPI contributor is required!

Depending on what project you join, PPI contributors may be involved in various stages of producing and sharing a systematic review. You may be working with research teams based in various locations around the world.
