The PPI Ignite Network aims to embed public and patient involvement (PPI) in research at an institutional level, that is, within university culture, policies and procedures.
Within the Network’s work package 3, in 2022 we reviewed institutional policies and procedures in six key domains:
- Governance
- Human resources
- Finance
- Ethics
- Environmental accommodations
- Communications
We repeated the process in 2025, following up on the , assesses the progress of Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) embeddedness across participating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Ireland between 2022 and 2025.
