In Ireland, some progress is being made towards developing a system to securely manage our health information. But we are asking if the same progress is being made towards providing patients with secure and appropriate access to their health information?
As we approach International Human Rights Day on 10 December, IPPOSI explores a rights-based approach to health information, particularly, the right of patients to access their own health information.
Panellists include Ruth Davis (Barrister-at-law at the Law Library), Kerry Lawless (IPPOSI Patient Education Graduate and PhD researcher), Brian McMillan (UK GP and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester), Kevin O'Carroll (Technical Standards Manager at HIQA), and Mary Vesseghi (Patient advocate and PhD researcher at Trinity College Dublin and Future Neuro).
