Have you ever wondered how cancer research funding works? Would you like to see behind the scenes in a cancer research lab? Could you help a cancer researcher to explain their work in plain English?
The Patient Voice in Cancer Research (PVCR) is an initiative to build connections between those affected by cancer and researchers. PVCR runs a number of events and workshops throughout the year, online and at venues around Ireland. Events and workshops are free and open to all.
Join us in Radisson Blu, Athlone on Tuesday, 21 February to hear about PVCR and how you can get involved in research.
Hear from patients who bring their 'lived experience' to conversations about cancer research. Hear from researchers about projects that have benefitted from public and patient involvement (PPI).
Come along for refreshments from 6:30pm, with talks, presentations and time to ask questions from 7pm - 8:30pm.
