Introduction to PPI in collaboration with the Research Development Centre, University of Galway

Public and patient involvement (PPI) in research means that the people who are likely be affected by the results of the research are directly involved in, and shape, the decisions made in planning and conducting the research and in interpreting and communicating the research results. With PPI, research is carried out “with” and “by” the public, rather than “to” “for” or “about” them. This workshop will introduce researchers to PPI, and will help them to consider the Public and Patient Involvement in their research. Attendees will learn the importance of embedding PPI in their project, and will be introduced to the relevant resources and supports they can access at the University of Galway. This workshop is delivered by the PPI Ignite Network @ the University of Galway.
