Lived experience influencing women’s healthcare- research and innovation

The PPI Ignite Network @ University of Galway are delighted to collaborate with Bioinnovate and the Health innovation Hub Ireland (HIHI) to deliver an event showcasing Patient informed research, focusing in particular on innovation in women’s health. University of Galway is a hub for innovation and patient informed research, we look forward to celebrating and discussing some of this work. The theme of the event is how the lived experience can impact innovation in women's health, focusing on female Med-tech.

The event is taking place in the Institute for Lifecourse and Society on October 26th from 12noon-4pm. This half day event will feature a keynote from a PPI contributor, two engaging panel discussions, lunch and networking.

Participants attending this event can expect to:
- Hear from researchers and innovators working on new technologies to improve female health
- Develop an insight into what enables innovation in the female health space
- Establish an understanding of Public and patient involvement (PPI), and how it can impact positively work in the innovation and med tech space
