Priorities for future research on tapering psychiatric medicines: A collaborative workshop involving people with lived experience, family members, and healthcare professionals

The aims of this event are:
• To bring key stakeholders (people with lived experience of taking and/or stopping psychiatric medicines, family members, carers and healthcare professionals) together for a priority setting workshop in order to engage in an inclusive and collaborative discussion on priorities for future research on tapering (i.e. reducing and stopping) psychiatric medicines
• To co-produce a Top 10 list of priorities for future research on tapering psychiatric medicines with input from key stakeholders that will be made publicly available to international organisations representing each of the key stakeholder groups, research funders, mental health charities and policy makers
• To enhance patient and public involvement by providing an opportunity to people with lived experience, family members and carers to be active collaborators alongside clinicians and academic researchers in developing the future research agenda on tapering psychiatric medicines
