Casey Donaghey began her PPI journey in 2018 as a member of the Galway Public Advisory Panel. She was involved in various projects, wearing many hats as a disability advocate, young person, and teacher. Casey has contributed to the training of PPI researchers by sharing her lived experience and practical insights into meaningful involvement. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy, she draws on her combined expertise in research and PPI to support collaborative, inclusive projects. She worked with the PPI Ignite Network in 2021–2022 and has now rejoined the team to support ongoing work, bringing a particular focus on ensuring that diverse voices, particularly those from underrepresented and marginalised communities, are actively included in  in the Network.
