Dr Pádraig Caroll

Dr Pádraig Carroll is the Public and Patient Involvement Programme Manager at Trinity College Dublin. As well as supporting PPI across Trinity, the Trinity office is leading out on Work Package 4: Promoting PPI Excellence.

Prior to his current role, Pádraig completed his PhD on PPI in preclinical research, focusing specifically on its application in laboratory-based spinal cord research. With a background in psychology, Pádraig has considerable experience of PPI and facilitated the IRFU CT/AMBER Spinal Cord Repair Project Advisory Panel from 2020-2024. He has published several papers on PPI and has shared his findings through national and international conferences. Since 2021, Padraig has been involved with the PPI Ignite Network through a number of different initiatives, helping significantly with the transition to this new role.
