The All-Ireland Cancer Liquid Biopsies Consortium (CLuB) Annual Symposium 2024

The All-Ireland Cancer Liquid Biopsies Consortium (CLuB) is led by Trinity College Dublin and is an exciting collaboration building on internationally recognised leadership in cancer research at Trinity College Dublin, Queen’s University Belfast, and the University of Galway. CLuB is supported through the North-South Research Programme collaborative scheme arising from the Irish Government’s Shared Island Initiative.

CLuB will hold its Annual Symposium on October 11th at Queen’s University Belfast. It promises to be an engaging event showcasing the consortium partners' collaborative efforts in cancer research. With a mix of scientific and lay presentations from CLuB-funded researchers, attendees can look forward to insightful discussions on recent advancements in the field.

Keynote presentations by Dr. Dominic Rothwell (University of Manchester) and Dr. Richard Turkington (Queen’s University Belfast) will provide valuable perspectives from leading experts. The event will also feature a public symposium focused on liquid biopsies, which aims to bridge the gap between scientific research and public understanding, highlighted by insights from PPIE Panel Member Mrs. Gemma Ward.

Professor Lorraine O’Driscoll, Founder and Lead Investigator of CLuB will conclude the day with remarks, tying together the discussions and findings from both Symposiums.
