What is the research about?

BeSiDe-CO is a non-funded project conducted in Trinity College Dublin which aims to develop a core outcome set for dentistry research. A core outcome set is a standard set of criteria to be measured and reported across research studies in dentistry.
Who is the opportunity for?
This opportunity is open to patients, family members, and individuals with personal or family experience of dental behavioural support  (ie. general dentistry, general anaesthesia, sedation, cognitive behavioural therapy, and other behaviour support techniques). We are aiming to recruit 6-10 PPI contributors.
What will the PPI contributors do?
PPI contributors will be involved in a number of aspects to the study including:
– Participating in discussions to ensure that the outcomes identified are meaningful to patients and the public.
– Providing input on the design of the study.
– Reviewing and giving feedback on study materials, including surveys, outcome lists, and research processes.
– Contributing to consensus meetings to validate and refine the outcomes from the patient perspective.
– Helping to share study findings.
