What is the research about?

What is the aim of the project?
• The aim of this project is to develop a model for supporting PPI activities in maternal and neonatal clinical trials, specifically focused on PPI recruitment and evaluation of PPI experience and perception of PPI impact.

How will PPI contributors be involved in the project?
• We would like to invite PPI contributors in be involved in different aspects of the project, including:
Taking part in two or three meetings with the lead researcher and other PPI contributors, online or in-person (whichever format suits them best), to:

1) Review and provide feedback on the project’s objectives and the design and methods used in the study.
2) Co-create an interview guide that will be used to conduct interviews with stakeholders in maternal and neonatal trials.

The meetings will take place from March 2024 onwards. Contributors can choose how many meetings they take part in.

We would like to invite people who have experience of taking part in PPI in trials focused on maternal or neonatal health, or women and parents of neonates who have participated in maternal and neonatal trials, to take part in this project.

Contact between meetings:

After each meeting, the lead researcher will email PPI contributors a summary of what was discussed. Contributors can decide to opt out of this communication.
