Embedding PPI into a Research Ethics Structure
This important case study, drafted in 2021 and published in 2022, describes the development of an Independent Research Ethics Committee(REC) for the Tusla Child and Family Agency. Working with the PPI
Ignite Network, PPI contributors were consulted to develop the best approach
to recruit public members to the REC. These members influence the review and approval process for research conducted within Tusla, resulting in person-centred, ethical research.
