Professor Sean Dinneen spoke with Dr Eiblhin Munroe on the Cancer Trials Ireland podcast (December 2021). Sean is the national lead for the PPI Ignite Network, a consultant endocrinologist at Galway University Hospital and a clinical Principal Investigator of the D1 Now study.
Prof Dinneen discussed Public and Patient Involvement in the health research, and the importance of involving people impacted by the research in shaping the research. He describes his journey with the D1 Now Young Adult Panel, developing and testing a new approach to delivering care to young people living with diabetes, working with these young people.
