Programme Manager, PPI Ignite Network, Trinity College Dublin

Clodagh O’Donovan started in the Trinity PPI Ignite Office in May 2023, dedicating two days a week to her role. At a local level, she supports and works towards building capacity for high-quality PPI within TCD. She also works with the Trinity Centre for Ageing and Intellectual Disability at Trinity College Dublin.

 

Clodagh previously worked for health research charities including the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC), where she provided support to 2 research networks by creating capacity-building events and digital content. During her time at Health Research Charities Ireland (HRCI), she managed the Public and Patient Involvement Shared Learning Group (PPI SLG) and contributed to the development of a number of PPI training workshops which culminated in the co-creation of HRCI’s ‘Making a start: A toolkit for research charities to begin a PPI relationship’.

 

Clodagh’s professional background also spans communication, community development, and public participation networks. She has made contributions to the fields of film, television, and digital media, having worked as an audio engineer, producer, and post-production manager.

 

Clodagh holds an MSc in Interactive Digital Systems from Trinity College Dublin.
