Dr Amanda Drury

Dr Amanda Drury is an Associate Professor in General Nursing in the School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health, Dublin City University, Ireland. Dr Drury co-leads work package 1, focused on building capacity for PPI across communities.
Dr Drury’s research interests span the areas of supportive and palliative care in cancer and chronic illness, and aims to enhance understanding of the health and well-being of people affected by cancer, including the personal, social and healthcare factors which influence these outcomes. Dr Drury’s research models meaningful patient involvement and knowledge exchange, with a particular focus on marginalised and under-served groups living with and after cancer in cancer research.
Dr Drury is a member of the EU Cancer Mission Board, an Executive Board Member of the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), and Chair of the EONS Research Working Group, and past Chair of EONS Young Cancer Nurses’ Network.
